At this point, is it really still worth it Pursuing a career in tech? And if so, what??

shyt looking weird out here

Truth be told. Not getting in debt for a degree in tech.

Tech will be changing so rapidly with the implementation of A.I. and Quantum Computers that you just won't be able to keep up.

It wasn't meant for you to keep up either. They want to unleash the beast.

They say Quantum Computers and A.I. in the wrong hands will be able to break through all of the encryption codes we have today. So the whole system will change and the only way to keep it secure will be to turn it over to A.I.

It's a system built to dominate you. Your money won't be accessible unless A.I. says so. You won't be able to buy, unless A.I. says you can buy. They are programming it to be a god to a lot of people.

He was making 150k a year and never put any money to the side in case he lost his income?? That’s on him.
Reading his substack he met some questionable real estate purchases. The hell you buying multiple properties while only making 150K.

Tech is not a reliable enough career long term to take on lots of debt. The odds of reaching retirement age while working in tech are slim and none.

Average American Debt: Household Debt Statistics

  • The average debt in America is over $105,000 across mortgages, auto loans, student loans, and credit cards.
  • Debt peaks between ages 40 and 49 among consumers with excellent credit scores.
  • Mortgages are the largest percentage of the average consumer debt balance.

There's a lot of hype out there right now to intentionally induce fear. no legitimate business today is going to rely on AI for the critical parts of their operations

It still hallucinates too much and use cases are still limited. Majority of AI projects today still fail.

Like the case has always been in tech, make sure you're always improving your skillset according to what the market demands. When you have an in-demand skill set you're not gonna be hurting for work.

a sociopathic habitual line-stepping, lying, drug-addled hallucinating, conscious-less machine with 0 actual understanding writing critical business software.

flight control software.

missile targeting systems.

ABS braking systems.

trading systems.

signing contracts.
what could go possibly go wrong :mjlol:?

yes AI will ease demand and reduce headcount but it cannot be trusted .. yet.

would those companies employ a dev with that personality profile?

Right. But you’re a cert guy, not a theorist.

My sister's job is being threatened with the government right now breh and she's in cyber security. I've worked in tech and what I once learned in college is being phased out. Brehs do not need to stick their heads in the sand at this point. Everybody is going to be affected in some way.

And start to understand what it is you are helping to build when you get up and go to work everyday. What's the end goal for these decision makers at these big conglomerates.
