I think it is inevitably going to happen.

I don't mean like some Zimbabwe hyperinflation type shyt, I mean a clear one billion. Like, a 1 percenter billion.

I honestly doubt itll happen.

The biggest contracts are in baseball and those are still under 300 mil. And I doubt baseball contracts will still be huge in 20 years when theres way less people watching.

Unless some new cba abolishes contract lengths itll be impossible in basketball.

The most likely would be in soccer, but all this assumes that the sports gravy train will just continue going up indefinitely and the tv bubble will never pop. And we know how likely that shyt is

So first of all it will be baseball and the biggest contracts have doubled in the past decade or so, so evem if we slow that rate i can see it happening by 2050

A miggy/trout guy will get one from the yankees or dodgers by then...12 year 85 million per
