  • If that happens it means our money has lost value
  • Going to games would be $500 per ticket (cheap seats), $40 for a hot dog , chips & can soda, $40-60 parking, $300 jersey (fugazi ver.)

Breh, we've been seeing $250 Million contracts for the last 15 years.... and literally none of these have happened but parking prices.

once these BRICS countries really get somewhere, it'll be a soccer star that gets that.

I dont think it'll happen honestly here in the USA.

I think sports will top out by then and the revenue vs risk from injury/age etc won't be worth it. Even with inflation I dont think it reaches 1 billion

So first of all it will be baseball and the biggest contracts have doubled in the past decade or so, so evem if we slow that rate i can see it happening by 2050

A miggy/trout guy will get one from the yankees or dodgers by then...12 year 85 million per
A Rods contract was almost 15 years ago though.Seems like we are regressing.I agree more players will get a piece of the pie but i don't think we'll see a number that big.

Where many murders occur
that's what another team would have to pay real madrid (in theory, cause no way another team is spending that much), not ronaldo.
Then it's not a buy out. A buyout would be what RM pays CR to release him from his contract. I doubt it's a billion.

And no, there will never be a billion dollar contract. The economy will regress and maybe collapse. Athletes will be blue collar again like they used to be.

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven

Fam. Parking and jerseys are already there. Hot dogs, chips and a soda will probably cost you 20 at most stadiums. 30 at the rest. And good luck even getting a ticket to an NFL game not on stubhub after day 1. Especially the new teams. Go look at those 49ers tickets

Lionel messi currently has the largest contract in all of sports. Worth 400 million

Next is Miguel Cabrera with 292 million

The next two, were arods.

So it will be soccer or baseball. The two sports with no cap and no max length

NBA and NFL. Yea fukking right.

But it didn't take long to go from Kevin Garnett getting that 100 mil to arod getting 250 with the Rangers.

So I'm guessing it won't take long to reach a billion. It's easier than Yall think. The next great to come up is gonna ask for more than the last. And then the next will ask for more

These contracts ain't getting smaller. I give it 20 years. By 2034, some soccer star will be making that. Cause unlike baseball. Soccer is worldwide #1 and not going any fukking where
