Nice try, but I own an EV and use the Plugshare app all the time, including when I was in Detroit. Showing a map of a bunch of level 2 chargers only fools the uninitiated. The fact that you would have to drive downtown to DCFC, in a city the size of Detroit, says it all. I stayed at The Henry in Dearborn and there weren't 3 DCFCs in Detroit last year. There were only 2 close by in Dearborn. Both were in a shady industrial park, one didn't even work. Not a single DCFC station from Dearborn to the airport either. (Yes there is one near the airport today, but not last year) There still is not a single Tesla supercharger within the Detroit city limits. If you look at a cities on the East coast, like Boston, you'll see a night and day difference.

Along the coasts, East or West, Teslas and EVs in general are everywhere. In New England, Teslas are about as common as BMWs. Rented a Mustang Mach-e in Detroit last year and it was an EV wasteland. I struggled to find places to even charge it.

IF YOU'RE STAYING IN THE CITY, THE CHARGERS ARE NEAR DOWNTOWN. THATS WHERE THE ATTRACTIONS AND THE HOTELS ARE. NOVI, SOUTHFIELD, AND WEST IS THE LOGICAL PLACE TO PUT CHARGERS. ANY LOCALS ARE CHARGING AT HOME.

THERE IS A CHARGING STATION WITHIN 15 MILES OF ANY SPOT IN THE CITY.

Tesla plays fast and loose with the term Dealership. Tesla calls them showrooms. You can test drive a car there, have one serviced, or you can take delivery there. If you are there test driving a car and like it. They just sit you down at a computer and take you to the Tesla website, just like you would at home. If they have a car in inventory, they will sell you one on the spot though. Can that be defined as a corporate owned dealership?

IT'S A GRAY AREA. AUTO MAKERS CAN'T SELL DIRECT TO CUSTOMERS ONSITE SO THEY USE THESE SHOWROOMS AS A LANDING. THEY JUST FACILITATE VEHICLE ORDERING FROM THE SITE. ALL THE STUFF YOU'RE DOING CAN BE DONE AT HOME OUTSIDE OF THE TEST DRIVE.

For a couple of years all everyone saw of him was during the PR events to launch his products and curated interviews where he repeated stuff his engineers say.

But he choose to show more of himself without it being curated, at Twitter he doesn't have someone actually doing the CEO shyt day to day like at Tesla and SpaceX, like that Gwynne Shotwell who are actually accomplished.
