because of the beat and sample

Nah... that was Fab sounding like he was comin' into his own. Then you got the album and it was mostly Fab bein' the same formula nikka he'd always been.

I don't think anyone has ever expected or wanted 'Illmatic' to come from Fab. That's not what any of his listeners seem to want from him anyway. But at times, it doesn't even seem like Fab is givin' the best FAB he can give. That's why his albums always fall short. Lotta that shyt just sounds lazy, and you get the feelin' that he doesn't care about half the songs on the album either.

I find that incredibly difficult to believe. Do you have a link?

Jadakiss hasn't had a hit in forever. Fab always has that one song for the birds that he tours on. I don't say any of this to disparage Jadakiss who I think is talented (though I've lost interest) but dude would be better off independent.

Jadas last album definitely sold more than fabs last even though Fab had more hits. Jada did over 100k his fabs album did way unde

fab is just fine. dont think he ever cared to drop a "classic" album, his career for being in the game for 11 YEARS is pretty amazing if you think about it. What other mixtape punchline rappers you know from that time is still relevant and can drop a album or a single with heavy radio play?

his recent work has all been good

losos way the album (his best album easily)
the soul tape (excellent mixtape)
TINC 1, 2, (3 was a lil rushed)

jada is the one im worried about now, that last mixtape he dropped was really just awful....idk who told him he sounds good on trap beats but that person really needs to get slapped

We lost as fans for expecting a classic from these nikkas lol...actually not Jada bcuz he has shown he can deliver on content...but Fab has never been a nikka of substance...the boy is just bars all day...fuk nikkas actin like either fell off...everytime I turn around I hear them killin shyt,I check for fab more then jada tho....still nice with the punches...fab is a mixtape rapper, did sumthing NO OTHER punchline rapper has don in the history of hiphop and that's have a succesful career, consistently put hits out, stay consistent with the bars for and punchlines for almost 15 years....greatest mixtape/punchline rapper of all time by my estimation....he actually overachieved if u think about it...and he still managed to give us a few classic records, and two classic mixtapes with Losos Way and TINC...his followups not as bad as nikkas say and From Nuthin To Sumthin wuz solid....jada gave us a classic mixtape too...but I think we all looked at him as more then a punchline rapper, plus he came from Badboy where u can hate puffs but he makes sure his rappers over achieve on the quality of they albums usually, fuk him and his staff but they do great in the production dept:pacspit: so I would think he learned sumthing, plus his partner Styles P is a good artist in his own right, even Sheek has managed to overachieve in his artistry.....then he got the chance to sign under Jay and still dropped a dud:rudy: I wuz about to defend this nikka but this nikka is a straight failure now that I think about it:laff:..Fab came up under DJ Clue for godsake, who wuz hell bent on giving him sum of the worst beats which I believe wuz a lot of inhouse, I ever heard for his first two albums...fab never shoulda had a chance.

'Losos Way' isn't a perfect album, but I think it's easily the best Fab album, and maybe the best we'll get from him, very nice mix of street/introspective/women songs, which fit the concept of the album. He didn't just do a Jada, and throw the tracks all over the place, which to Fab's credit, is something Jada has never done. As far as cohesion, themes, he's done content, (better then Fab/ or close) but it didn't sound as smooth, finished product wise as 'Losos Way'. On the other hand, Fab has like 4 weed plates, and Jada has three solid solos. If I'm Jada, I would do a concise, 11-13 track album with raw production, and maybe one song that would work as a single, fukk the Neptunes, fukk the big budgets, fukk the industry, ain't gonna sell anyway, just get it out as a bid to enhance his legacy. Premier, Alchemist, shyt like that, and just go out on that.

Fab holds it down, he's never wack, one of the most consistent rappers of all time as far as music and fame goes. And every album, mixtape has a new sound or a new trend of killing punchlines, punchlimonia  He's got the cred he deserves. No one i calling him goat, no one is calling him the best in the game or hottest in the game. But when he comes with music, people fukks with it, his hits get play, his mixtapes get downloads, he can hold his own with dope mcs and his club bangers get spins in the club.

Jada on the other hand, I'm tired of cats mentioning him with the greats, he's in the same league as fab.
