I'm on my oil and gas trajectory now. Moving to Dallas next year following the advice of my boss/mentor-an old school Italian a$$hole who was the Finance Manager for Donald Trump during the acquisition of the Taj Mahal in the late 80's. I have a Bachelor's in Accounting, 3 yrs exp working as a Finance/Credit Analyst for an Electrical Component Distribution Company. Halliburton, Chevron, & ExxonMobil are some of our largest customers but only buy MRO(Maintenance, repair, operations) for their rigs. I deal with their buyers a lot and try to squeeze as much info out of them as possible to learn their world.

I don't necessarily have to stay in Finance but I need to find a way to stretch my resume to get my foot in the door. Any advice breh?

Stay in Finance! All those companies listed have sites dedicated to job openings, go there and apply for all the ones that you fit your skill sets.

I don't know much about the finance side of things, I work in the field. However, I would keep asking questions and networking. and always have a good copy of your resume available when you are talking to these people.
