I can read French at an intermediate level (like I could read most newspaper articles and get the gist of it). Can't really speak it beyond the most basic level. I am currently learning Spanish. I like it better than French. It is easier to understand but they talk very quickly. At first the grammar is simpler but then it actually gets a bit tricky with things like the subjunctive. There is subjunctive in French as well but it isn't used as much.
Yeah. The quick talking is the hardest part for me.

I'm fluent in English,Dutch,Surinamese and to a lesser degree in German,I can read and write in all four. I trying to learn Spanish, tried Portuguese but i find Spanish to be less of a challenge phonetically.

I'm only fluent in English, used to be fluent in Haitian kreyol but it's degraded to only comprehension, my output makes native speakers :picard: or laugh.

I have some grasp of Spanish, was exposed to it almost as much as kreyol. Took classes of it since middle school to college.

Right now I'm learning Japanese started a couple of years ago. Can read hiragana/katakana and some kanji but comprehension is low.
