Minimum $10 million to live in a legit upper class lifestyle. Neighbors might be local famous people, like a pro sports athlete or coach, business entrepreneur.

Some people don't want to change their lifestyle. If you go up in status, then it takes more money to sustain that lifestyle. You could live a comfortable upper-low-class or lower-middle class lifestyle on 1 million for the rest of your life as long as you have a regular job.
