When I first started watching in 2016 or so, I couldn't make it through the pilot either. One of my homegirls kept telling me to watch it and I finally put the pilot on and wound up turning it off after 20 min.

I wound up going back to it 7 or 8 months later, forced myself to get through the pilot and I've been a fan ever since.

I’m on ep2 and still kinda lost. So there’s two diff kings? The 1 who fukkin the broad who was smut out by her bro and the one who has the half-son? Can you clarify those plot points without spoiling too much?

It's really good until they run out of book content. And they stuff they changed was outta pure laziness before they ran outta stuff. Lady stoneheart and other smaller things that led to building to bigger things. 1-4 is a master class in world building and character development, with season 4 being the best season of the show. season 5 runs outta book content and started making shyt up alot of which was ok at first until the dorne and sand snakes stuff. Horrible.. But the jon snow shyt, all of that shyt, was good in season 5.. Hardhome (season 5 episode 8) is probably the best episode of the show......

Season 6 is good/decent battle of the b*stards, tho stupid how they got there, was good stuff... 7-8 was completely off the rails bad. There was no excuse for how bad 7 and 8 was. All the build up is ruined. characters motivations thrown away for a rushed ending that starts with season 7. Season 7 at first doesn't seem bad until you watch 8. Both are terrible.

Ned is Robert's oldest and most loyal friend and helped him win the rebellion that put him into power. He's the only person he can trust. Which is why is there now. Jon is his b*stard son. If I go further than that it will spoil shyt.

doesn't care either way he wants his sister wants to be respected as a knight and tyrion (the dwarf) just a drunk... for now. the Tywin Lannister (the father of jaime, cercei and tyrion)

secretly wants power and has been plotting against robert for years... that's all i can say for now...

and jon snow is eddard stark b*stard child is the story thread that leads the story to going to the great wall with him joining the night watch. where all b*stard sons/prisioners etc end up fighting off everything pass the great wall.... that basically sums up the first two episodes. all the minor shyt isnt a big deal yet like the kids and etc

And I also felt a little overwhelmed with knowing which characters are which, trust me it will come together just keep watching.
