Creepy, breh.
Makes me want to play it again.

That's another reason I loved it. Came out right before Halloween and fit the mood perfectly. It was more of a horror story than most of the game.

I would play again but I got all the best shyt on my first run through. The Viper armor from the woman at the auction, the Venomous Viper Steel and Silver swords, Iris from Olgierd, and the Spade from The Caretaker boss.

if you like horror, play the secret world. The best horror game ever.

Its one of the games you know they loved making and took pride in, had nothing to do with trying to get sales. I read The Last Wish before I played this game so I was already somewhat familiar with Gerald and Yennefer. If you are into more adult fantasy shyt, it really does rival Game of Thrones, but with the focus on a smaller cast. Few of the choices are readily apparent to be good or evil, and it adds a realistic layer to the game that most are missing.

When you get to the first alchemist theres a girl inside her cabin that is going to die. If you refuse the girl swallow, the alchemist will dislike you for not trying anything. On another play through, I gave the girl swallow and she left with a man. I was later confronted by a guy asking if I was the Witcher that saved a girl with a potion and it turns out, the girl survived but the potion fried her brain because only watchers can handle it.

There are countless quest-lines like this. The quests and music are A1 as well. While the game isn't open like an elder scrolls game, once you realizing its a focused RPG telling the story of Geralt as a Witcher you realize its way better.

The combat is the one flaw of the game. My first play through it didn't bother me, but after playing Dark Souls III its pretty obvious how floaty it is. Its still an enjoyable game though, Id recommend sword and board difficulty because on death march id literally have to just roll all over the place and hit even weak enemies 12 times to kill them.
