On certain products, the supermarket will contract with the name-brand manufacturers to produce the store brand shyt. So in other words, you can have the same exact product but just in different labeling and boxes, and then they sell both of them where the store brand is obviously cheaper. They know people are dumb enough to fall for the marketing and branding behind a product.

:lupe: I've never tried the store-brand candy at Aldi despite shopping their for years. I might grab some this week.




:ohlawd: If they have a Knock-off version of Jolly Ranchers that taste the same as the name brand version.
