Social media is faster than all of them and by the time they hit the stage and get specials they’re all late. That’s why the Deon Cole one was good for talking about maturing.

I think this may be the problem, they talking about events that happened over a year ago already. Social media dun ran through alll the best jokes and memes already on it. Everything chris rock and Marlon said i heard a million times already, and funnier.

Comedy needs quick turn around, if something happened this week you gotta have something out by next week. It reminds me of comic view back in the day how every other comedian used to run through the same jokes

Point somewhere I said that fire specials have been released. Comedy has been in a bad space recently. Just because comedy isn’t good doesn’t mean we lower our standard. This special was bad. Chris Rock Tambourine special was better (than his current special) and Marlon is not a good comedian. Marlon has terrible set ups and the bits aren’t polished. He is not a good writer. He is suited for comedic roles more so than stand up.

Bruh, he dropped the mic on “my parents taught not to fight in front of white folks”. That material is dated man. He talked about the ears test, that weak delivery of a joke of getting his daughter kicked out. I did enjoy how he rounded it off with his mother in paris (plus the music drop was good production there). It wasn’t his hogher tier material.

Marlon made a bunch pf dated material pac, will smith music, will been so loved and nice. The jada material was sated as well and over done. Plus, how your whole routine about Chris Rock situation. That proves he’s a comedian who doesn’t have the talent.

I mean I’d expect older comedians to not be as good as they were in their younger days, but Rock did ok in his standup. It’s not touching his prime stuff but he did good. People always saying how Rock and Chappelle fell off acting like there’s some young comic killing the game now.
