Point somewhere I said that fire specials have been released. Comedy has been in a bad space recently. Just because comedy isn’t good doesn’t mean we lower our standard. This special was bad. Chris Rock Tambourine special was better (than his current special) and Marlon is not a good comedian. Marlon has terrible set ups and the bits aren’t polished. He is not a good writer. He is suited for comedic roles more so than stand up.

Right.

Marlons speciality is doing cartwheels over couches and screaming

To me, Marlon is bad at everything, I didn't like the Wayans Bros show, didn't like any of the Scary movies or nothing else he has ever done... but I love this. I'm watching it again :pachaha:
:scusthov: Nasty work. I’m definitely not taking your advice on comedy bruh

Find adult awkward standup marlon funnier than prime tv Marlon brehs :scust:

Those clips validate what most of us have seen from his standup. He’s just not built for it. His cadence, maybe he’s typecast to us, something is off. Even when the joke is decently funny like the pac one. It just merits a :ehh:

Seriously so who’s recent specials do you think is funnier than this?

Because y’all are talking like there are tones of comedians that are putting out fire and that would even address this situation this head on.

Watched Rel Howery “I Said It, Y’all Thinking It” at a New Years gathering and laughed pretty much the whole time…I had hella drinks by that point but I’d still say it’s truly funny. Check it out if you get a chance.

I watched that as well and didn’t laugh one time. I was disappointed

I’m very very fussy with my comedy but this shyt had me dying. :laff::laff::laff::laff:

I’m proud of Marlon because his previous stand ups were average at best. Not only did he bring it but to do a whole hour on one topic takes balls.

Inspirational. Breh stayed at it and he’s become much better at this craft.

Yea this was funny. Marlon legit roasting will like he don’t know him. And marlon low key hating Chris rock guts :gladbron:

shyt was well written , very chapelle-like in style ( :patrice:)

Sticking to 1 topic eliminated a lot of marlon’s previous stand up flaws. This was dope
