£1100 for my 4 bed terrace house just outside London.

We should be finished paying our mortgage off within 2 years
I cannot wait to see how much money will be saved living mortgage free.
To be honest I haven't even done the math on how much will be saved, I want to experiene it firsthand and blindly.
I try to not even let myself do math in my head. I cannot wait to experience it!!!!!!
13Paid off in 2yrs? How old are you?
I assume you had a 15 or 30yr mortgage.
Only problem is that if you ever moved that $87k plus you’ve spent on rent the last 12 years doesn’t come back to you ever.I rent a 600sqft 1 bedroom apartment for $586. My total is $616 a month including $30 for my dog. The only reason my rent is so low is because I've been renting this place for over a decade. People moving in now pay like $750 or more not including a fee for any pet.
I've considered buying a home but my rent is well less than 15% of my take home pay after taxes. It's a good deal for me. If I purchased a decent home my housing payment would probably go from that to a bit over 30% or so.
.No it isn’t. Mortgage could be cheap depending on the rate and how much they put down. People get windfalls everyday.45k & be a home owner??
I think that’s bad advice
Looks nice. I wish my driveway was longer.![]()

Yeah but it has it's perks. I never have to do any yard work or take care of anything physical on the home. The negatives are I've had the same appliances, carpet and the like for 12 years since I moved into this place. I'm reaching the point that I want to leave but I don't really feel like spending every other weekend cutting the grass or having to shovel the snow. Might just do a condo and pay that association fee.Only problem is that if you ever moved that $87k plus you’ve spent on rent the last 12 years doesn’t come back to you ever.
I pay $2700 for a 4300sqft house in Houston. Also $800 for our rental house but that will hopefully be paid off soon.
I wouldn't be looking to buy a home only making $45K a year. Unless you living in the ghetto or a trailer park that just doesn't seem doable. No it isn’t. Mortgage could be cheap depending on the rate and how much they put down. People get windfalls everyday.
