Y’all be hearing bout 3k a month rent here and be thinking that’s some luxury shyt. Them 3k a month cribs be just as ghetto as the hood joints, just a somewhat safer neighborhood. In NYC u pay for location. U don’t really start living “nice” till u dropping $5000 or better a month.

That’s not true whatsoever. I lived in LIC in a brand new apartment with every amenity possible including a theater room. It’s was 2370 for my studio. One stop I’m in Manhattan. Super safe .

My bestfriend has a nice 2bdrm apt for $1600. NYC is about location. Those 3K apts are in Manhattan, more often than not. You can definitely stay under 2k in the other boroughs.

I’m looking into moving to Jersey now though, because we need a 3 bedroom and ready to own now. Over this renting shyt.

Yea @JQ Legend is bugging. 95% of 3K a month apartments in NYC are on the luxury end and you can clearly go on streeteasy.com and trulia.com to see this.


Only part of NYC I can think of such situation is probably a 3 bedroom apartment in Hell’s Kitchen or something.

Well, if I ever move to America, this is the spot.

At least 2300 for something nice in Toronto. Even then the area will often be a danger to your health. Add in fuel and car insurance
