Might as well buy a house at Howard County for that price breh. Schools are just as good if you got kids, you get more land for your money, even more peaceful than Montgomery County, and you're in between DC and Baltimore.

I thought Howard county was just as high as Montgomery County? The sole reason I choose this place is because its so close to my job( bout 3 mins driving ) and my son. I was driving between Baltimore and Rockiville for almost 7 yrs. I just had enough of it. Plus the location is great since I can walk to everything.

Since im not married, I just dont care about a house. Also when you say Howard County only Columbia comes to mind. lol

Some areas are more expensive than others. Clarksville is crazy expensive, but you got some areas like North Laurel which are more affordable and closer to DC.

Columbia is the most commercialized city. There's lots of tech companies there and it's growing. I know Columbia/Ellicott City are always in the "Best Places to Live in the U.S." list that CNN does.

Just saying since you're paying what amounts to a mortgage, you might as well build equity in one of the nicer areas.

Ah. It would have to be Columbia. I love the area( went fishing there last yr) and my Aunt has a big house there.But yeah when I looked at Columbia it was about the same as Rockville pricewise. For the tech companies, alot of computer security companies in the area and tech groups there.
