yeah, but then its like one of us is essentially working just to cover day car costs; once the kids turn 18 months, costs go down considerably, but mat leave is only for 1 year, so wife might extend her leave for another 6 months, but then her job isnt guaranteed when she gets back (they only hold the position for the year)
