That's a low standard by which to measure. The average middle aged American only has $50k in retirement savings, so are you going to say that 55 year old with 65$k in savings is eating good?

I'm content, that's more money than I'd ever thought i would ever make..that's the reason most of the people at my job are not happy, always reaching for the next step, which very few actually get to begin with and if they do actually make it, they are stressed beyond measure.....contentment is the key to happiness, not a never ending desire for more..

You are 100% correct. My peers in my age range are always talking about how they are going to be big money balling and etc. I did not come from a materialistic family so if I am making that much and my husband makes around the same I would be perfectly happy. What I dislike is a man that is not consistent and has absolutely no goals in his life, but as long as he is trying to generate constant sustainable income I would be perfectly happy.
