Once you get your first apartment breh you gonna be feasting:blessed:

Especially if you aiming for young women, having your own crib and car sets you apart. I remember my first apartment, I was throwing chicks out of my apartment who didnt want to leave because the next chick was coming over in 2 hours.Every girl who came to my apartment, I smashed with no hesitation:ahh:

Money basically :yeshrug:

Women just come as the side effect
So you're not actually interested in CS? I don't know if I would want to spend 8 hours a day, 5 days a week staring at computer code just so that I could get a paycheck. And you don't need money to get women all these broke nikkas get p*ssy on the regular...

I am under the assumption that I should have the following:
  1. A high-paying job or business (bringing in at least $75,000/year)
  2. A house
  3. A serious relationship
  4. A moderate level of fame
Is this realistic?

#1- Got it. At 19 I was making $33k, I just turned 21 two months ago and I'm now making $40k so it's ideal that at 25 I need more.
#2- I'm aiming for 23 to get that but I've been living in my own place for 3 years now.
#3- been there, done that.
#4- :comeon: idgaf about that.

Fame? :mjlol:

The only thing I agree with is number 1.

I'm holding off on buying a home until I propose to my girl. Not that I need her input, but if she's gonna live there too for ~5 years, I would like her to be apart of the process since I'm going to do new construction.

Serious relationship is nice, but not required.

Money and education are the only things that really matter breh :yeshrug:

What if that paycheck said 7k and it came twice a month? :comeon:

There are alot worse things you can do for money than stare at a computer screen all day.

You should have a job that pays 35k or more. A 401K that you're contributing some of your pay. A savings account that you put at least one monthly contribution into and that you don't plan on touching for a long time. An understanding that a serious relationship has to happen organically, you can date around but don't rush into commitments (you'll appreciate this ish more and more the older you get). And realistic goals and standards for your life over the next five years. If you have all that in place, by thirty you'll be in a great position to make big moves. Understand that at 25, you've got a long road ahead of you and you have time to set goals and reach them with plenty of life to live. Pick out the things you want, figure out what steps you need to take to get to them and don't look for short cuts and you'll be straight.

I highly doubt you'd be getting two 7k paychecks a month if your goal is money. This guy is most likely a mediocre programmer who's topcoder rating is somewhere around 400. The Median Base salary for CS is what 60,000? So in order for him to get 7k twice a month he would need a raise, and companies don't give raises to mediocre programmers. If his corporation were to downsize, he would be the first to be laid off.

At first I didn't like it but after you become good at it you start to appreciate coding.

But really that's with anything in life once you become good at something you start to like it after you pass over that learning hump.

Most people that do software really only code 2-3 hours the rest is BSing around.

And again women are a side effect, trust me my last girl was making 50,000+ and she knew I was broke but didn't care :yeshrug:

Fresh out of college, 60-65 sounds about right if his portfolio is small. But at 25, you should be 3 years into the game.
Oh and you don't work for raises, you work for special projects to add to your resume to leave the company.

In the world of development and engineering, the biggest raise you get is leaving the company.

He wont be making 15k a month, but at 25 there's no reason why he cant make ~90-100k
