and where did you read this opinion?
For me It depends how many muscle groups I'm workin on. Also depends if I'm doing low reps or high reps. on average 2 hours. Includes 10 min warm up and 10 min cool down.
For years i have subscribed to the Dorian Yates H.I.T. style of training and it has worked wonders when done correctly, I usually make much better progress than most guys at the gym.
My advice, if wanted:
only work a maximum of two body parts a day. Most professional bodybuilders will tell you to work one or two body parts a day for maximum results.
Keep your reps between 10 to 12, just as long as a the weight is heavy enough to achieve failure.
Concentrate on the negative part of the rep.
If you follow these guidelines it won't take you longer than an hour to get a good work out that will produce results.
Look up Dorian Yates and Mike Mentzer to find out about increasing your intensity so you can save time in the gym and see better results.

You got it fukked up. You could do 1/4 of the work and get double the results if you eat right. You must be young but you will figure it out one day and be like
I wasted so much time not getting the results I could have because I did not eat well enough
