Fry's Electronics. Summer 2004 (gawt damn does time fly! Rollie must got wings on it).


Worked over 80 hours (just a few overtime, but man is that place busy in the summer).


it was almost 550 bucks... but i only worked a month and a half so i could go to vegas (i was 22 at the time, didn't have any "real jobs" prior because my
dad ran a landscaping business so i worked with him during summers/community college, but i wanted a stab at retail/customer service, hence, Fry's).


Long story short, i made about 1600 bucks during my tenure... had enough for Vegas (plane ticket, hotel, kicking it funds, outfits for the trip, etc.)...



In retrospect, i worked my ass off (could have saved more, but the gas/lunch money/paying for the female employee's star bucks, CD's... really took its toll) only to spend it
all in 4 days.



But you know what? I wouldn't take anything back. Shiit was great and i had so many great conversations with the people i worked with. An experience of a lifetime (oh my
god, and the breezys that worked there? I can't believe i didn't fukk once. SMH.).


Good times... good times.

Mine was around $75. We got paid weekly and they would cash the check for free at the gig. It was a grocery store and this was like 95 tho. So that was more than enough to fill my gas tank up. Didn't have cell phones then so that didn't matter and shyt generally wasn't expensive. This was good cuz a brotha was only making like $4.60 an hour
