.....there were no advantages to it other than being knowledgable?

Let's say in a made up world where education didn't mean u could have the opportunity to have more stability. Would it be as important to you to have a degree? Yrs ago you weren't looked down upon if u didn't have a college degree because you'll still could make a way for yourself. Now it's to the point where if you don't have a degree you can easily be viewed as a lazy ratchet bum.

And yes I know this situation is not all that realistic but I'm asking for you to give answers based off of if it was real.

Side note. The cost of tuition would be the same as now.

What is this hypothetical world, a jungle? Educated people with relevant fields of expertise have always and will always earn more, have better opportunities than the bulk of the workforce. Knowledge is useful.

Even if you don't put faith in the schooling system, you still have got to educate yourself through other means. But the fact is that the competition is fierce, and not having a degree puts you at major disadvantage.

I wouldn't do it,

Cash Rules Everything Around Me & I wouldn't waste my money or time on something that would not further me financially.

Not thinking how that could be possible, it would still be important but the time line would be different. I like learning about different things and reading so I would continue to learn at a leisurely and cost effective way. Without the pressure of having certain degrees by a certain time it would be more enjoyable. The importance of having a degree has been drilled in me, but there is tones of free knowledge out there.

Yeah, nothing would really change with this proposed idea. Now, if you were to take away degrees and have colleges as a place solely for studying, then that would be an interesting change

You said:

and then said

Let's say in a made up world where education didn't mean u could have the opportunity to have more stability.

Being knowledgeable automatically means that you will have the opportunity for more stability. Theoretically this is how things already work

If formal education doesn't get me a leg up on the competition..... universities & colleges and their high ass bills can :camby:

Not going to college doesn't equate to being stupid....I would intern in my field of choice and be self-motivated to learn in order to advance.... I am a self-starter and have no qualms about asking a billion questions.... No one would out work me....

If formal education is not what differentiates, then you have to ask yourself what would separate you from the pack...

Damn is renting out places u own the best legal hustle without doing hard work. :ohhh:
I'll tell you how it works. I hired a property management company to handle anything legal, repairs, tenant interviews, rent money, etc. All i gotta do is pay a cut to them and pay money for repairs. I get paid every month for doing....nothing
