Cats saying Reggie couldn't dribble

. Reggie was as fundamentally sound as they come. You can't get as far as he did from high school, college to pros without being able to handle the rock
>Think when folks are saying "can't dribble" is just acknowledging the fact that ballhandling wasn't particularly a a strength, which tbh it wasn't. He was crafty enough to get a shot off off the dribble, but it was mostly pull up jumpers cause he didn't have a creative enough handle or quickness to routinely get to the rack. Yeah you can find a highlight like that dunk against the Nets, abs there was one other very similar but I forget what team, but the reasons they are so well remembered is because of how rare it was to see him get the the rack like that.
He countered his shortcomings by having great off the ball movement, fantastic shooting, and an uncanny awareness of where is defender was at all times, which enabled him to still get to the line at a decent rate while primarily being a jumpshooter.
With that being said I don't think his production would be much different from Klay's offensively. Reggie is an elite shooter and a better one in pressure situations than Klay, but while it's not his strength either I think Klay is better off the dribble, in the post, and he's a very good defender. Your getting more clutch shooting with Reggie, but your also giving up quite a bit in other aspects of the game.
