Not everyone cares about collecting, some people just want to listen. I used to have a sick cd collection but damn near the entire thing was stolen. Thought I was going to rebuild it, but two years later Spotify was here and I said fukk it, what’s the point? I don’t like junk and clutter and I’ve moved a lot, no point in having to move big ass cd collections. I can see collecting vinyl, collecting cd’s is pointless tho...IMO.I stream but still but and listen to CDs.... what’s a music collection without actual... physical copies.... plus the sound quality is fuego!
lol...you are too young to be behind the times on everything...

I've probably got like 500...I've never counted.
Not including hundreds of MP3 CDs that I used to use for storage before external hard drives got cheap.

:Peasy:
Music loses its value when its too accessible in my opinion.
I like to dig :prodigylol2:

Also, for all that I consume, very little of if do I love, but what I do love I buy (or download) to have a copy at my disposal should the Internet combust and I lose access to Spotify/SoundCloud/YouTube

There’s a warmth factor and imperfections to vinyl that’s not present in other formats, that’s why it has stuck around as a desired format for years. I also think some of it is due to that being the format that was used to DJ prior to digital mixing/dj’ing off laptops. CD’s, like cassettes, never had a function outside of a means to music consumption, nor any unique sound qualities. I don’t think CD’s will matter outside of things that are out of print and not available on streamingI agree with you.... the thing with steaming that’s frustrating is that shyt can be taken down from different providers and limit you to what u hear. An example would be today. I wanted to play L. Hill’s “Can’t take my eyes off of you” but it wasn’t available. Since I have the cd, I can always go back to that abd not have to worry about the shytty youtube quality.
Question though, why do people put such a premium on vinyl and then complain about cd clutter? I do think there will be a CD revival in the future.
put an end to that. the past few years i've started to really miss physical copies and been eyeing this cd player.
Yeah I prefer CDQ as well. Real music lovers and audiophiles will understand completely.CD quality is much better, especially in a whip. Aux Cords can cause static sometimes but MP3's is cool. Cd's are good to rip to mp3 that's why they are probably still used today.
