It's so rare that when I do use it it feels weird for some reason.

When necessary. Usually if someone is sleeping on a traffic light, I’ll give quick honk to wake them up, but nothing obnoxious.

The only time I lay on the horn is if someone is backing into me or crossing into my lane, basically any situation where I could avoid an accident I’d rather honk obnoxiously than deal with post accident business.
