Done it once my entire year of weight lifting...will proboly need to soon on my squats...or quit playing basketball. My knees are somewhat sore, but I'm loving the leg definition. :whoo:

So even after stretching for 10 minutes my lower back still tightens up doing squats even with light weights. Does this mean it's time to deload? How long should it last? And could I still run?

Aint you the dude who posted heavy squat vids? I saw your form, probably cuz you're doing a good morning type movement to lock out the rep. I have the same problem when I squat heavy and I feel it in my back too then. Gotta keep your chest up through the whole lift. Helps to have a tight grip also, squeezing shoulder blades together.

I think you're absolutely right. I'm going to chill on the heavy stuff for a month or so and then ease back into it at a lower weight and work on my form.

I do it every four weeks. You have to make time for recovery if you want to push forward.

Same, i'm following Wendlers 5/3/1 and its one of the rules.

I remember years ago, I used to be like 'deload :rudy:' until I was almost :dead:.............never again
