For the sake of balance
I have read again and again that those colon cleansing products that claim to release the 20 lbs of backed up feces in you actually somehow produce the copious amounts of crap that come out.
The evidence was 1) how could you possibly survive is your colon was caked with a thick layer of plaque? The nutrients from your food need to penetrate the intestines to be delivered to the body 2) they stick cameras up peoples asses all the time and the colon is always nice and pink, no layers of plaque
Not to say that the body doesn't need to detox ever, but why wouldn't it be as perfectly designed as everything else in the Universe to basically work as intended most of the time? Why would the plaque just build and build? no such thing happens to your mouth, throat, or esophagus. If the body is steady pushing everything out, how does 20 lbs of excrement resist the flow?
In answer to the question: I never have "detoxed" although I fast a couple days regularly (once or twice a year). My approach has to do with daily cleansing. Sometimes I eat my meals during a six hour period, then let my system rest for the other 18 hours.
This colon/detox thing is full of shyt....Buy some powder psyllium husk and drink loads of water. Within a couple of days....you'll be having firm regular brown shyts.

I swear some people say stuff to just to say it. The detox system is obviously there for a reason and the benefits a lot of people have had already testifies to the fact that's it's important. People have their cars serviced regularly throughout the year and do thorough cleaning of their homes, but when it comes to their bodies they come up with all types of excuses and reasons as to why they don't need to do a major cleanup once in a while.
we went 30 pages arguing about this
