the other thing is that you dont really seem to understand what the criticism is, the point is the lack of balance and variety in rap music, at the same time those songs you posted were out there was also songs like this











in other words there was much more variety and more balance in rap music which reflected the variety and different aspects of african american culture and thought

now i don't know why it's in my timeline because i don't have lil wayne nor espn liked on facebook. i don't watch espn (boycotted all mainstream media tv filth)

i was trying to go back and see why it showed up in my timeline but facebook refreshed.

espn could've picked on of those nerd rappers and i'd be fine with it.

i have rt news and breaking the set liked on facebook and they do bring on underground rappers on their to comment on politics. breaking the set theme song is done by immortal technique.

myself, unlike worldismine, i put the responsibility more on the corporations and not the hiphop artists nor the black community. i always say the corporations are more to blame. in terms of percentages i'd say they are 95% to blame.

Sure it is. You're not understanding that hip-hop isn't confined. Let me break it down to you so you see where I'm coming from: In 1980 there were about 150 hip-hop records made.

In 2013, I have no idea how many were made, but I'd guess it'd be in the hundreds of thousands.

What you're objecting to is approximately 20 or 30 'hit' or 'popular' records out of those hundreds of thousands.
