im glad doc and blackzeus expressed their views because people will stop calling me a liar

in other threads ive been saying that chief keef only happens because of the acquiescence of black people, and people called me names for saying that, but in this thread black zeus made a post showing admiration for members fo the chief keef crew, so chief keef is not just record labels pushing shyt, there are a lot of black people going along with it

and i was saying how black people made a mistake by not being willing to go at record labels when delores tuckers was going after them and thanks to doc we know why, because some people feel record labels arent responsible for putting positive music by black people

:snoop:

Labels are NOT responsible for what the CONSUMERS want to purchase or listen to. Their sole purpose is to make money, not educate or replace parents.

Going at them won't do a thing as we've already seen with Rick Ross' verse on 'UOENO' and Lil' Wayne dissing Emmitt Till.

You want to show your disdain for what they're selling? Don't buy their product and support music that sends better messages......

And don't try to spin this. You listen to what THEY want you to listen to without bothering to look elsewhere because you're lazy and support them with your inactivity.

Once again......

Hip-hop doesn't concentrate on 'hoes and drugs'. What you choose to listen to concentrates on 'hoes and drugs'.

Question...
When an artists raps about being hard or "the struggles in the hood" when they never really were in the hood, like maybe they grew up in the suburbs and stared in tween sitcom or perhaps they've had millions since they were 13 or 14 can you as a listener still appreciate the music? If so do you appreciate the message or the production? (the beat)

I'll always appreciate good production. Messages, on the other hand, are hit-or-miss as it all depends on how the message is disseminated.......

LOL. Rap music is in no such 'ditch'. The 90's are over. Being unnecessarily combative because I don't share your opinion won't bring them back.

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:

Everything he just said was bullshyt. Rappers rap about the same shyt they rapped about in the 80's and 90's. the only difference is he just :flabbynsick: and the style, slang, cloths are different.

I don't listen to rap like I use to because, a lot of the music is meant for todays youth. I have to cherry pick. I group up on late 80's and early - mid 90's rap and I don't listen to it that much neither because it makes me feel :flabbynsick: and all I can do is reminisce about the past which I hate doing. This whole "I remember when" argument is dumb. there is enough music being made to appeal to everyone, but I guess he figures, if its not getting "mainstream" attention, its either not work listening too or actually looking for. Either way he full of shyt.

And just for one example... he talking about his generation raps about "these hoes aint loyal, like rappers never made songs about the same topic

:mjpls: everything people rap or sing about has already been done before.

He says rappers today use nikka as a term of endearment... then says he listens t ATCQ...

Really :comeon:
