When an artists raps about being hard or "the struggles in the hood" when they never really were in the hood, like maybe they grew up in the suburbs and stared in tween sitcom or perhaps they've had millions since they were 13 or 14 can you as a listener still appreciate the music? I agree with the bolded. I can respect crap rap that I don't personally like as an "art form" or expression of culture sorta like i can respect a piece of shyt painting that represents someone's view of the world and or interpretation of it.
