Its kinda crazy how Hilary went from bum mooch off her dads money to popular tv show host. By the end of the show she was well off making her own money and could be considered rich too assuming her show was as popular as today's Ellen or Steve Harvey like they implied.

Children raised in environments of abundance subconsciously carry the same traits as their parents that drive them to achieve similar levels of success which is why the rich stay rich and the poor generally stay poor because the latter work for money and the former for assets. Obviously there are exceptions to rules and this is a generalization plus we're talking about a fictional show but the point still stands.

Details like this is why the series was so dope because each character had drives, nuances and a their own mental sphere and the contrast between Will and his cousins was excellently scripted on so many levels, especially here:



As Will and Phil see through the same eyes because they've walked the path whereas Carlton hasn't and can't relate.

Man this show was so smart and handled some real issues in between the comedy. Be glad we experienced it on the first spin because you ain't gonna see anything like this on TV again for these generations in terms of role models, wisdom and overall entertainment.
