I was just watching some 9/11 stuff and thought about what if they crashed into the George Washington bridge.
I think that would've been worse
It's the busiest bridge in the world
It's NYC's lifeline
They make like 2 million in tolls daily
Everything entering NYC goes through there
It would've had a devastating effect on our economy

Terrorists don't really want to bomb a bridge in New York City.

terrorists do not really want to give New York hat work.

A suicide bombing on a bus is child's play, and one of them would flip this country upside down.

Blow a bomb on a walkable bridge with a duffle or a Prius, this country would be flipped upside down.

That is their speciality and it can happen so very easily in a city as dense as NYC. but all they could do in 13 years was 9/11?

I do not believe any legitimate effort is being done by any terrorist organization to do something in America.

They'd have to hit all 4 bridges that connects to Jersey, the Holland AND the Lincoln to really cause damage.

That 2 million that go through the GW will just go through the Holland or Lincoln

if any one of the bridges or tunnels are taken out then all of the other routes would have almost 20% more traffic.
it would be a cluster fukk.

getting into NYC via NJ is always a nightmare.
take out one of the veins and it would be a logistical nightmare...i'm not even taking into account the emotional toll that such an attack would have on people.

It will get people out of Washington Heights. Easier for me when I go up there.

The Holland tunnel doesn't allow any commercial traffic. The Lincoln tunnel only allows small trucks. The majority of nyc's goods comes through the gw. Redirecting that traffic to come through Staten Island and all through Brooklyn to get to Manhattan doesn't make sense.

It's not about making sense, its about options.

You are not in a position to complain about inconvenience if these things happen.
