I think there a few things to consider:

What is the position?

Is it at the same company you are already employed at?

Do you already know what the role entails?

How big is the company? Are they well funded?

How much experience do you have in the EXACT same role?

All of these items can drastically alter how you should go about defining “fair”

What's the role? I usually google the salary range based on the job title using salary.com or glassdoor. If the position is on indeed, I include a salary amount in the search such as "Analyst $85,000" and keep increasing the salary until the role no longer shows in the search results, the salary right before stops showing up is the one I ask for.

Well saying "good compensation" guarantees you won't get it. So, don't worry just have fun out there

Read what I wrote properly. I said good compensation because I was asked this by the HR person BEFORE the interview and didn’t want to put myself in a box, so I deflected. When I have the actual interview that’s when I’ll open up about negoitating.

It’s a consultancy role with some project management involved. I’m currently a business analyst. I’ll check out both sites, thanks!

No, different company.

Yes, I know the basics. I’ll dig for more details during the interview

Not that big, mid sized with offices around Europe, but it was recently bought out by a large company.

I’m a business analyst right now, so different but I have a lot of transferable skills working for a big company. Agile, scrum work experience (not certs though) and a master’s from a good university.

I’ll look at the market rate, my value and then choose a figure. I know my minimum which is not less than I’m earning now.
