NFL been all tv money for a while now. That's why I don't trip when people bring up the NFL ratings compared to everybody else. Television is literally what the entire league is made of.

the NFL doesn't do local TV deals for regular season games

a little more than half of the money for the NBA is local and national TV

MLB is almost at 50%

Interesting to note is that they all have the similar revenue from ticket sales.

However, consider that the NFL only plays 17 regular season games compared to the 80+ from the others. When they say those stadiums are packed, they aren't lying. It's like a major concert or Wrestlemania every weekend, just a straight up vibe.

Overall maintenance costs got to be lower for them if they only have to pay personnel working their stadiums 8-12 times a year while other leagues got to pay that maintenance cost 40+ times.

It's almost football season again too. :obama:

honestly I was pleasantly surprised by their #s

comparable to the Premier League and ahead of the other top soccer/ lgs

if they had better leadership they could do better on tv / media deals. they just lack vision on how to market/produce their product well
American sports league shouldn’t be compared to soccer leagues because our leagues are closed and you have to pay to enter.

Premier League isn’t like that.

Not the point @concise is making.

Big leagues are not entirely dependent on ticket sales because TV contracts should be massive.

Yea, look at the NBA and NHL, they run the same 82 game schedule + playoffs and make almost the same money in tickets and concessions, difference is national TV.
MLB and NFL barely make more in gameday revenue and it is their national TV contracts that are making the difference.

seeing How it says national media, is this just US revenue?

Thinking mainly that NBA might have other major international tv deals
