American sports league shouldn’t be compared to soccer leagues because our leagues are closed and you have to pay to enter.

Premier League isn’t like that.

In other nations, anyone can enter if they in enough and move up the pyramid (promotion) with a league like the Premier League at the top. You can also be kicked out the if you don’t win enough. (Relegation)

In America, an owner pays a fee and they are now a forever member of that league. And that's only if the league wants to expand.
