This dude has been sampling straight loops for nearly 9 years now, not to take away from the dudes artistry and skill, he brings a loop to life and every now and then he chops the fukk out of a track but recently all of his projects have been a collage of samples.

How can he be doing this for so long without getting hit with a lawsuit? I saw his response to this type of question in an interview before and he said "let the lawyers deal with all of that, just do what you do" ... Jew connections? He aint making as much money as people think? He's just that much under the radar?

I make beats as a hobby and I've just stumbled upon so many of his samples inadvertently its unreal, literally anyone skimming through YouTube for samples will wind up on the same playslist as Alchemists.

What you think?

Edit: Same can go for Madlib

Most of the samples he’s using are from obscure out of print foreign records on defunct labels that probably aren’t in the loop (pun intended) with what he’s doing. Plus the majority of that stuff isn’t really blowing up like that.

The bigger releases get cleared though. Kinda like how all the samples on Bandana have been cleared.

Alc and Madlib get placements on major albums cleared. Alc’s mentioned that he had to give up all his publishing for Break the Bank on Oxymoron. Madlib also spoke about how RCA helped clear all the samples for Bandana.

And sampling Yugoslavian records from the 60's ain't gon' get you jammed up.

Timbo caught a case for Big Pimping and that was some obscure middle eastern record.
