I watched Chris Farley on SNL too. Farley was mostly a sketch comedy act, which he was elite in, but he didn't have the range of Kevin James. Farley was horrible at Stand Up and inconsistent as a movie star

Kevin James could do sketch comedy, movies, and of course a successful TV sitcom
