You honestly can come out and say Bron played to his fullest abilities that series. fukk the close out game what about the two before that. From game 3-6 Lebron quit on the Cavs with his pending free agency on his mind. He might have got numbers but I saw every game in that series and it was times when I was baffled just watching him standing in the corner not wanting the ball and playing hot potato with it when he got it. The same thing he did in the Dallas series but I guess he didn't give up then either.

How did he quit? Dude was playing the Four Horsemen by himself with no help. Y'all are the same people that won't admit that Kobe quit on his team in Game 7 against the Suns. :rudy:

I don't think it was just a case of not having enough help, cause we also have to factor at that point of his career, Bron simply wasn't all there yet as a player to lift the trophy. He still had a lot of growing to do as a player.

Current day Lebron on that team, and they would've won a ship.

Yeah, but at the same time, I don't think we ever see this version of LeBron if he stays in Cleveland.

I think that Mavs series did wonders for Bron's career.

He had a bad series (shooting wise) against a great defensive team. Only Bron could put up 27 19 and 10 in an elimination game and have people accuse him of "quitting". :snoop:

That wasnt the game he quit in though:ufdup:

It was Game 5 and he DID quit in that game.

Game 3 was his best game of the series. :dwillhuh: Game 5 (a 40 pt blowout mind you) was really the only game you can point to. He played better game in and game out in that series than he did in the series against the Celtics 2 years prior. I don't recall anyone saying he quit that year. What is so hard to understand about the Celtics being great on D and having more firepower? :mindblown: I don't know whether or not he gave up in Dallas series. I do know he played like a broad. I don't claim to know stranger's hearts. I can only address what I see.

Oh I know Kobe quit on the Lakers just like Bron quit on the Cavs. How is it that is could win 60 plus games with the likes of Mo Williams and Shaq but they they weren't enough when it was time for the playoffs? If Bron would have went all out and loss that would have been fine but if you watched that whole series you know he didn't. Like the year before we they lost to Orlando you couldn't say nothing about that man. He averaged like 38 8 and 8 that series and went out balling his off. But in 2010 it was a different case.

I would urge you to keep in mind that the regular season and playoffs are two separate animals. Things are a lot different when you're game-planning for the same team, and we all know the game slows down come playoff time. Not to mention Boston was a top 2-3 team in the league during that time period. Lets not act like the Celtics weren't more talented and prepared to win that series. Not saying LeBron didn't look disengaged at times in a couple of those games, he DID, but you're acting as if they were a superior team and LeBron gave it away. shyt, look at the ridiculous numbers he was doing, and the games were still coming down to the wire. Nicca had little to zero reliable help. Can't blame him for wanting to leave that dump.

If Boozer wasn't such a hoe that would have worked.

Do the math fukka. Boozer took more money to better his financial situation. Never criticize a man trying to get his money.

  • Cavs offered 6 years $40 million
  • Jazz offered 6 years $68 million

Any dummy would take 68 over 40. Handshake my ass. native Americans had a handshake too last i recall. Didnt workout too well did it?

I remember people were ripping him when he did that. THAT'S WHAT CONTRACTS ARE FOR. until ink hits paper you owe them nothing.

Not saying they were the superior team but they had more than enough to get to the Finals. Them first three games Bron balled but after that he didn't show up, and ion care how many times people bring that bullshyt triple double up.

Even if Boozer stayed, nothing would of changed..

That dude puts up the most inconsequential 19 and 10 ever in the history of the NBA..

He has no impact at all..

I WISH more people understood this when they dare criticize professional sports players. The shyt irks me to NO end hearing people talk about a lack of "loyalty". There is NO SUCH THING as loyalty when millions of dollars and a persons best professional decision making are at hand. People talk about Lebron, Boozer, Ray Allen, and the lack of "loyalty blah blah" but go ask Dominique Wilkins, Karl Malone, Patrick Ewing, John Stockton, etc what "loyalty" got them. NO championships. As a player you either put yourself in a position to make the most money or win a championship. In SOME rare cases you can do both. But fukk loyalty, hand shake agreements, and all that crap. At the end of the day whoever wanna cut that highest check for your services is who you go with. PERIOD

How do you not see the contradiction here? :dwillhuh: They weren't superior but they had enough to win and thusly demonstrate superiority. :heh: Your willingness to dimiss a 20, 20, 10 triple double demosntrates that it isn't really about what actually happened but that it's more so about feelings and emotions. I realize you might have wanted/expected Bron to be superhuman and put on some performance straight out of the Mighty Ducks but that doesn't happen in the real world. With the way Rondo and KG were playing Bron would've had to go game 6 of last year every night for them to win. Like I said before his jumper wasn't there yet and the Celtics didn't have to really worry about anyone else hurting them.

He was much closer to being a championship level player than his cast was to being a championship level cast. If you look throughout history of champions they have at least second and many times a third guy capable of stepping up when need be. Even the teams without a second "superstar" or all-star had guys who could step up when the main guy was struggling or being keyed on. Who was that guy on Cleveland? Current day Lebron would still be labeled a choker who cant' get a team over the hump with that lineup. Bron from back then would have still won a title last year. You can't ignore what goes on around a player.
