Socializing for humans shouldn’t be a choice considering it’s impact on brain health, lifespan reduction and overall quality of life(cardiovascular disease, sleep disturbances, weakened immune system). Only solitary animals thrive under such conditions and that we are not. Socialization is inextricably linked to too many biological imperatives.

Elderly people die quicker because senescence is already kicking their asses and then they accelerate their deterioration through social withdrawal.​

If I wanted to yap at some old heads, there are least 5 spots I can think of, in walking distances where grey beards congregate and talk sh!t.

I'm not saying DC is the friendliest place in the world, but a lot of these "deaths of despair" are white guys in rural areas.

That said, I don't think i've made a new friend in 10 years, so I maybe I do need to head down to the Park with a 6 pack of wine coolers...
