It's crazy, I just came from the library, and I just met two people who are mentors. I just planned to work on my script, yet I met two cats who gave me some advice on production; filming, the entertainment business in general. Just off that, that was a stepping stone.

Walk presentable, treat everyone you meet with respect(unless they act ho-ish, then fukk em), because you never know who you will meet.

Research. You can be very motivated and have big dreams, but if you don't do your research, you are wasting your time and money and are hurting yourself. Some entrepreneurs get so wrapped in their ideas and dreams that they can't handle negative news. It's like ,"No one wants to buy an orange plastic butt crack scratcher".

bro im going back to school this summer get my AA but then i wanna transfer

idk which major tho. i was thinkin something related to my job but i still wanna have opportunites for other shyt because you never know

what yall think about these majors? Finance, Global Supply Chain Management, Property Management

i got about a year to finish up before i transfer but idk man honestly its pretty much down to them three

Get some experience in those job fields before u get that degree

If u think u just gonna get that degree from some rinky dink college and u going to get a job right away in those fields you going to be upset

you will need experience to build your skill, a degree is just a piece of paper, otherwise you will have to do an internship once u graduate

Also research and know exactly wut field you want and wut job u want, don't just blindly get a degree in those fields and expect to land a job once u graduate, research that shyt like a fiend, employers like people who know wut they want to do and have clear goals

a real talk since i den moved over here my eyes den opened up to alot of shyt
im meeting all type of muhfukkas from different walks of life
its crazy how people can relate and not really be from the same place
sometimes i be sitting back high chillin and be sayin to myself damn bro you deserve whats coming to you
and i be wanting my nikkas to feel the same way but alot of nikkas let they situations throw em off knock em off they square
thats how nikkas end up doin dirt n fallin in the trap

i just hope every nikka realize that being a good nikka will take you far

nikkas aint perfect we gone do dirt we gone finesse get tempted to do shyt i get all type a shyt threw at me but i been stayin strong stayin out the way
but bottomline nikkas gotta stay strong be strong headed be stubborn to an extent

touched on this in another thread, but set short-term goals that are achievable, and ACHIEVE them

I set a new goal every 4 months that I can realistically achieve, example: last 4 month it was get a 3.5 GPA in university for that semester, these next 4 months its to hit the gym hard and gain 20 pounds

Setting these type of goals and achieving them automatically improves your confidence, etc. It fits in with the theme of continued progress some of y'all have already touched on.
