My favorite all-time athlete. Incredibly unselfish and the ultimate team player, but really later on he became a ballstopper and I think he frankly got lazy with the game and didn't keep himself in the best shape possible. At some point all he would do is settle for those three-pointers that weren't very high percentage at all.

If he had the attitude of a Duncan with his skillset he would've been the GOAT power forward, and a lot of people have said he had the ability to be the GOAT if he really wanted

Nah, but the dude was great. Those old Piston teams must have had some of the most unselfish guys of all time that also all excelled defensively.

The hyperbole when dudes describe Sheed is hysterical. He definitely had HOF talent but dudes out here are constantly saying he could've been the best big ever.:deadmanny:

Easily. Could shoot the ball from deep, had a face up game in the post, huge fukking hands, could play the post, pretty good free throw shooter, great defender, smart defender, tough.

However, the refs hated him so he never got calls, and he didn't give a fukk about censoring himself. He didn't have the work ethic. Talent-wise? There's no doubt in my mind he could've been the GOAT. But the GOATs are the GOATs because they have one-in-a-million-type talent with one-in-a-million-type with work ethic. Kobe has both. MJ has both. Duncan has both. Sheed only had the former.

yes he was. he was underrated by the media because of their agenda against him. he was properly rated by his peers.
and because he didnt want the ball in money time.

He wasnt underrated.

In that era of HOF power forwards, who do you think Wallace rated below that he should not have been? Duncan? Webber? KG? Dirk?

who?

I've never seen a more frustrating player to watch than Rasheed fukking Wallace:francis:

nikka could kill you in the post with that fadeaway, it wasn't even a debate. That fadeaway was damn near the sky hook with his reach and release. But that nikka would rather shoot 3's and long 2's while bytching at the ref constantly.

I'm glad he calmed down enough to get his ring in Detroit tho:ld:

He's rated right where he should be.

in terms of talent, Sheed was the best PF of that era. and arguably the most talented PF of all-time.

he could do what they all could do at their best better than them. for example, he could shoot from the outside and spread the floor as good as dirk. he could dominate the post on offense as good as Duncan. he could guard dudes on the perimeter like KG. and guard guys in the post like Duncan. he could also pass the ball as good as C-Webb.

Sheed was gifted enough to be the GOAT PF.

his problem was that he was NOT selfish enough in demanding the ball every play. he behaved like a role player on offense eventhough he had GOAT skills. he also was too unstable when it came to his emotions. all those ejections made him unreliable.
