I've never seen a more frustrating player to watch than Rasheed fukking Wallace:francis:

nikka could kill you in the post with that fadeaway, it wasn't even a debate. That fadeaway was damn near the sky hook with his reach and release. But that nikka would rather shoot 3's and long 2's while bytching at the ref constantly.

I'm glad he calmed down enough to get his ring in Detroit tho:ld:

He's rated right where he should be.

He didnt really start shooting the 3s til he went to Detroit and that was past his prime...in Portland he only shot the 3 like twice a game...

I don't think I'm exaggerating when i say this but seeing him play all those years I am convinced,

I have never in my life seen a more talented ball player that never lived up to his full potential. This dude had Kareem level talent and no I'm not tweaking this is why so many basketball purists hated him so much because he was the prototypical 7 foot player, almost like a human create a player. When he turned it on he could shoot, had 3 point range, could defend pass out of the post and rebound if he gave enough fukks. And he has elite basketball IQ. In todays soft azz NBA he'd comfortably be the best big in the league and thats playing at 65%.

Sheed's talent level was insane. There was nothing he couldn't do very well on the court. He could dribble well enough to drive to the rim with relative ease, he could shoot off the dribble, he could shoot of the pass or using the screen, he had a post-game that was unstoppable when he set his mind to it, he had a fadeaway that was money, he could hit the mid-range and the three, he was a great passer, AND he had lockdown defense...but he was content being a team player and not being aggressive on offense. He just didn't have a scorer's mentality.

His natural talent and bbiq is right up there with the best of all time bigs. Honestly, imo he had the ability to be a superior version of tim duncan but he couldn't control and channel his bbiq like a tduncan or jordan and it resulting in him having alot of josh/jr smith moments and blowups out of self frustration. Chauncey Billups was the best the thing to ever happen to this guy on the court.

Not underrated at all, if anything it's vthe opposite with this sort of mysticism around him. He could post up, shoot from mid/long distance (even if he was no Dirk), great defender...etc but his actual production put him below the top of his competition.

Just look at how many judge him on should've/could've rather than what he has done.

The hyperbole when dudes describe Sheed is hysterical. He definitely had HOF talent but dudes out here are constantly saying he could've been the best big ever.:deadmanny:

Sheed had legit 3 point range. He was unstoppable in the post when he wanted to be. With that high release, his shot was virtually unblockable. He defended. Legit shot blocker. Wasn't scared of nobody.

Where was his flaw, breh?

With Duncan I can say he had no 3 point range. And that's ok, he's still the best PF ever. But Sheed could do everything Duncan could AND step outside with ease. I just don't see any flaws other than he didn't want to be the best. :yeshrug:

rasheed is one those guys that benefits from heavy nostalgia and all kinds of imaginary 'if he just ____' type of thinking. considering the glut of all-time great 4's during his time and the reality (not the legend) of what sheed did, he's rated just fine.

and yeah, he was very skilled but more than guys like cwebb, timmay, kg? i don't think i'd even go that far.
