How weird was Twista's lil comeback in 2004?

His recent interviews are like he's waiting for 04 again, thinking Kanye still wants to fukk with him.
thats too bad. the crazy thing is Kanye could bring him right back again because realistically Twista's style has not aged at all since he came out. he can still hang with anyone on a track.

though its unlikely, i wouldnt be surprised if Twista gets another run.

a similar thread can be made about E-40. i never thought he woulda had a mainstream run after all of those years running the underground.

They're not legends though. They're about the equivalent of Nelly or Ja among rock fans.

EVERY pre 2005 Hip Hop act other than Jay-Z, Kanye, Wu, Nas, LL, Pac, Big, Snoop, Cacinem, Run-DMC and Public Enemy are written off as "old and irrelevant" :flabbynsick: especially here. The legends who didn't see commercial success are especially given shyt just for being old. In other genres veterans are revered and their classics cherished, but if old Hip Hop albums don't sound current, nikkas won't even listen to it :what:. I hate to say it, but for the most part only those annoying elitist white Hip Hop purists of the Rosenberg persuasion support the old legends and actually pay to see them in concert.
You just don't know enough about other genres and their fans to have this argument. Not with me, anyway :skip:

Incidently Twista went out with "urban" sounding music. This techno vibe isn't for him.

Yeah, once Kanye stopped producing his singles, and the 808s/ techno with bass blew up, he just kinda

Alot of rap fans are hypebeasts really. I was in the barber shop recently and the cd/dvd man came in with the new Wayne mixtape tryna sell it and this 1 motherfukker said "I don't want it cause nobody listen to Lil Wayne no more" I just shook my head cause I realized alot of people just followers and trend hopping fakkits

:heh: he really is a trend hopping bum that has no mind of his own. Sad how someone like Wayne that had a generation of youngins dressing and rapping like him, no longer pay attention to him. As if he never existed.
