im sorry but it will always be parity

since 1999 the finals have had either Shaq, Kobe, LBJ or Duncan in it. It's almost 20 years and 4 people have been in all those finals :scust:
You can say the same thing about Brady, manning, brees, Big Ben playing in almost every super bowl since 2000

Optimistic But I Got Hands Tho
I'm pretty sure that's what the Verizon contract they just sealed is supposed to address, giving people another option besides DTV/Sunday Ticket. Access to any game you wanna see on any mobile platform.

That’s cool and all but so much time has passed that I’m used to watching it for free.

You gotta be on that type of shyt early. The NBA was and they get my money every year.

international doesn't matter or make it more profitably domestically. Soccer, baseball are just as big as basketball internationallly. Hockey is also big internationally. All four of them pale in comparison of interest to the NFL nationally.

Um, there so many things wrong with this statement. First off Basketball is number two behind soccer ( dominated by the NBA), so no, baseball nor hockey is on equal footing. Hockey has Canada, Russia and Northern European countries and that’s where it’s international reach is limited. Baseball has its reach in Canada, Japan and strong parts of India. The NBA is in every country from the European Union, to China, to Canada, to South America and Australia. Don’t compare these three. Soccer is the only one that surpasses basketball on a global level.

And yes, being international dominant is very profitable. China has the biggest world Economy ( surpassed the USA in 2014). The BRIC countries have over 5.2 trillion dollars in economic output.

Why do you think NBA players get 20-30 million dollar shoe deals, while OBJ has the highest NFL one at 5 million?

Why do you think the NBA major banking sponsor ( BBVA) is extending its agreement with the NBA? The Nba is a financial superstar internationally.

Hate to burst your American bubble, but the NBA is making its money.

Oh and more thing, the NBA has the youngest demographics while having the most diverse audience. They dominate internationally and their Future is way brighter.

because white spectators/fans want white faces to root for. the reason why they make up a smaller percent of basketball fans. let's not pretend the :mjpls: factor doesn't play into sports fandom of conservative whites
:comeon: White Carolina fans ain't rooting for Cam?

But there's always been a different team in the NFC to compete in the championship every year. With NBA its like a rotation in both conferences.

Plus with a one-and-done playoff system it helps the chances of a wildcard or darkhorse to win out.

This Christmas will tell story. You have 5 NBA Games,2 NFL games the ratings will be interesting
I like the NBA but I’ll never understand the hype for the Christmas games. A lot of them have been duds ever since the Bulls-Lakers game in 2011.

This was LAST year.

“most”.

That’s 1 game....out of how many that comes on every year on Christmas? 5?

Like I’ve said, most XMas games have been duds since 2011. There’s usually just 1 that day, 2 at the most, that are at least decent.

Same could be said for Thanksgiving games.

The main thing about the Christmas games is they generally have the best matchups.

The nfl under goodell has found more ways to expose it as a shoddy product at times with his over exposure of the game. That has hurt it more than any of these theories in here. He’s created a culture where I can ignore games because the must see tv Sunday factor is gone.

NBA along with its youth movement has higher potential...but the NFL has done more to be culturally relevant in the US with its moves.

NFL is still way ahead of everyone else so it will take a while. NBA has a lot of young stars and great storylines this year so it looks promising.
