Because Rocky sucks.

:russ:

It has nothing to do with that. If you think Rocky sucks, that's cool.

The fact of the matter is that your average Rocky fan doesn't crave validation. He has a TON of fans. You wouldn't know because we don't sit here trying to tell you everything he does is classic. Or make threads/lists about who cosigned him. We just don't give a fukk. Undeniable dopeness speaks for itself.

Rocky exudes confidence. When you're comfortable in your own skin, you just don't care about sales, who's cosigning you, what your metacritic score is, etc. You just know you're dope. That's it.

The impact and courage to drop a LP with the type of content for a artist of his stature and mainstream visibility is what I take the most from it.

He could have easily side stepped controversial topics like the current social situation in America At the time it dropped.

Hip Hop has a diverse audience and it was cool to see him put that out especially that 2Pac conversation at the end.

I have no idea what Rocky would say and neither do you. so that point is moot.

To me, Section 80, GKMC or TPAB are all trash. No joke. I'm never compelled to listen to anything Kendrick. LiveLoveASAP is several stratospheres above those albums in almost every category one can judge an album. At least for my tastes. You might feel differently, which is fine.
Some people say Ilmatic is trash so I know there's bound to be a few clueless people who will try the same with Kendricks lesser master pieces :blessed:
It makes your musical opinion invalid pretty much calling all those projects "trash" not even "they weren't for me" nniqqa said trash :mjlol:

Quite immense he will go plat eventually with something like this :wow:

I definitely think overall, the album will be remembered in an important way. Hip Hop is in a current state of bangers and hot trendy singles. Kendrick could've easily done a GKMC II. Could you imagine if he had an album of shyt that sounded like the song from the Beats commercial (It's Alive/"Pyrex")? It would've been an easy lay up, and he knows it. But he wanted to stay true to his vision and gave us this... something different. And I love it.

I'm glad he stuck to his guns. Artists need to be taking more riskier choices with their music.

There y'all go comparing Kendrick's work to Illmatic again. :snoop: For the thousandth time.

We know you Kendrick fans are so damn delusional.
