I'm not really sure i just know he was an economic major so he knows his shyt when it comes to money. Basically shooting down some cac that was claiming 400k apiece was just, and another guy who refuted him by saying its more like 38 million, he said they're both wrong.

Education is a means to an end and not the end. And not everyone can thrive in formal education.
I think the focus should be on building black institutions (not formal places of learning) that help in wealth creation and enlightenment; and black economics.

Well basically there is no amount of money or education alone that will cede power from white people in this country.

If my slavery angle was too far, fine. Here is my alternative.
The only way to make us "square" after slavery is for us to remove every white person from every position of power and every ownership position (be it land ownership/company ownership/etc), remove them all political seats of power (congressmen to judges to police officers etc) and replace all of that with black people.
When congress is 100% black, every officer is black, very judge is black, every landowner is black, the president is black, and every CEO is black, maybe then can things be "even".
You guys are all talking about what can be given to Black people to make amends.
What you should be talking about is what must be taken away from white people to make it even.

That's the thing, I don't think every black person will spend it on silly stuff. You will have those that will get it right and be successful with it, they will be more of an asset to future generations.
I don't think the other ideas are bad but I can see some wiggle room that will have us in the same situation.
Removing us from taxes will probably mean our neighborhoods will be last on the list for any type of government service that is needed. Also, those same people that you are saying trick off money might be in a worse predicament because they more than likely won't have a refund check to fall back on if they spend their money unwisely throughout the year.
Free college is cool but education in certain areas would need to be improved way before they get to that point or you are going to end up with people basically not using their reparations at all.
With any of those choices though some personal responsibility is going to have to come forth so I would rather just give the check to the people and those who know what to do with it or want to learn what to do with it will use it efficiently, and those who don't, won't. Those other options are still available and people would have the funds to do those such as school, apprenticeship, pay taxes easily, etc.
Edit:
I'll even say maybe we shouldn't just get one huge check but maybe payments over a x amount of years especially if they money were in the millions.

Then subsidize the industry so that white farmers cannot capitalize on certain crops anymore (corn for example...make it so that 85% of Corn purchased in the US has to be purchased from black farming).
Give us money to create fully funded and equal schools for our children
This would allow the infrastructure to build. We don't need "money" individually because too much money would fall to the wayside. We need the opportunity to build infrastructure. We need things we can pass down. 100k is nice but then what? Give people the means to build and we will turn the corner
Release non violent drug offenders and reform them. Allow them their chance at life (especially since we have all but decriminalized marijuana)
