Listening and reading peoples critiques or criticisms of the Christian doctrine and how its been implemented

In the context of America, yeah.
When you really think about if folks are so staunchly in their non-belief there wouldn’t be this need to discover or try and over evaluate what their reason or meaning in life is
Again, not to say true atheists etc don’t exist but rarely do I come across the real deal, usually folks just chirping “I’m spiritual”
i'm an athiest, I don't dwell on the meaning of life. I emphatically am not spiritual in any sense of the word.

This is a confusing take.
Non-believers are still human, and many still wish to derive meaning or value from their life. For the non-believers that came from religious upbringings, they probably built their entire worldview, from their morality system (what is right and wrong and why), to the their way of coping with existentialism and mortality, around their religion. But once the religion was gone, there would for many still exist a need to fill the void left with an alternative worldview that helps them deal with human anxieties and develop a set of principles that guide people from day to day in a social system. These things help people find fulfillment and purpose that go beyond simply existing.
So like Ayaan Hirsi Ali.

Grew up praying to the east(muslim) but lived in America since 9-10 so I am much more American, rather than my original culture
