Well, competition is the game breh. You either have to find a niche product that people will pay for or join the crowd and cut into your margins.

If you're concerned about market saturation, then have you considered retailing name brands online? Personally, I retail non-name brand stuff online as a passive income thing, but the money doesn't move fast enough. So, I'm contemplating a move to sell higher end brands. For example, Ray-ban sunglasses as opposed to non-name brand sunglasses. Obviously, this means more money upfront to buy the product since they're household names. And with name brands, you most likely have to deal with the manufacturers directly since these brands aren't going to be wholesaled at your local garment district.

But the good thing is that the margin is higher on name brands and you can sell them at a lower price than in retail stores yet still make a nice flip on each product.

Just a thought. Also, you may want to find some wholesale spots in your city that you can actually walk into and buy stuff. I've found a few in my city that I frequent when I need to buy more product.

Peace
This is a very interesting idea. Imma look into this. I never really thought about contacting the manufacturer but this may work if they dont have a MOQ that is too much to handle.

Flip cars like ive been doing, just buy and sell more from auctions, make triple back usually. Can turn that into 30k-40k pretty quick. Reinvest that into my production company, with some equipment. Make my money back within a month from shoots and renting out. Keep stackin from there...
you have to get a car salesman license to do this? In terms of selling it back and be able to go to the good auctions

This is another good idea that I might can do. My mom just found an autobody spot that does super good work for dirt cheap. Is there anything I should know about what model cars sell the best and how to find better auctions?

I think you can sell 3-4 a year before getting a license and after that you can just buy in a family/friends name.

Sound Reasoning

Yea, this is why you can buy Ray-bans from the Muslim homies at the flea market for $100 that sell at Sunglass Hut for $150-200. Because they buy direct from the manufacturer and then place a much smaller markup on the product than the large retailers do. Same thing happens on Ebay where you'll find the same Ray-bans for sometimes $75-90. People really get raped shopping at retail brick n mortars.

If you're looking for the manufacturer of a product, look on its tag or on the back of the product usually. For example, Luxotica is the manufacturer for Ray-bans. I believe they're based in Italy. But I believe Ray-ban also manufacturers some products out of China as well now.

But if you can find a wholesale shop in your city, they tend to have rock-bottom prices on stuff. I'm talking NY Sunglasses, the same kind you get at a sunglasses kiosk in the mall for $15-20 each, at $24-30 for a box of dozen sunglasses. Mark up each pair to $10-12 and make a nice flip on each pair.

But some wholesale spots want to see you have a Resale License before they sell to you, so get that first. Technically, pedestrians shouldn't be able to buy at wholesale shops.

Peace

Breh...I will tell you exactly what I would do w/ $15 capital.

I would go to the local university that offers tech majors.

Print out pamphlets saying you are trying to provide an opportunity for fresh new african american & hispanic tech experts(app designers) to program the "next great app."

Have a 5k competition with one idea( I have a few great app ideas, seriously).

Have them sign a disclosure agreement...

At the end of the competition, after they present their projects to you, give 5k to the winner & work with them to improve it & you just might be sitting on a $1mill...or $1bill (Snapchat, Instagram, candy crush, etc) idea.

If they don't produce any good projects, now you have $10k to work to go to another venture & create a nother thread asking about how to flip10k.

Do it breh...and remember me. :salute:

Are you in NY?

Wearable sports camera maker GoPro Inc's GPRO.O initial public offering was priced at $24 per share, an underwriter said, valuing the company at up to $2.96 billion.

Come on breh...hoe many people do you know that actually PAY for porn...there are too many free websites. I wouldn't even start a free website because it would be too hard to get traffic unless it was niche...borderline "deep web" themed porn. :ohhh:

Im tempted but like I said...I don't know anything about stocks so it wouldn't be too smart to invest money I can't afford to loose. The only thing I know about stocks is that you have to pay a fee to buy and to sell your stocks. :damn:

Me either but at that price and how popular GoPro is, and no other company even coming close to thier product. Its seems like a great first investment.

Simple, the same way they do on the streets but legally:

- buy a product wholesale-shoes, TVs, clothes, phones, etc.
- sell it retail-mark up the price
- repeat process with profits

The game in the streets is NO DIFFERENT than what any retailer does. They're always flipping to gain more profit in order to buy more product and sell more product. Flipping is how money is made.....its about cash flow....not stacking.

Peace

Pretty much what I'd do
I was thinking about that a lot lately. The problem is that the internet threw salt in that game because now wholesalers can go straight to ebay or whatever and reach the customers direct and cut out the middle man and vice versa. I was looking at all kinds of shiit from electronics to accessories that I can buy cheap and flip but when you look for a place to sell it at, people are selling them for damn near the wholesale price...almost no margins.

Unless you got the plug to some super low prices? :usure:

Truthfully, I may need to do bend the rules a little and do something slightly, a little bit, almost, illegal...no drugs or nothing because that game is designed for you to loose.

You have to be savvy with it and put your own spin on things. Find a niche. There was a guy I was reading about who made a site selling camping/outdoorsy supplies. He made his own site and bought some facebook ads. He had none of the stuff onhand. They were things you can find on Amazon he just jacked up the price by a certain %. He did 80,000 revenue [not profit] in a month. I wish I could find the thread on reddit, I'll link it when I find it.

If you're contacting the manufacturer directly. They will always have a MOQ. Probably won't be spending less than 5,000. Depends on the product though.

Cards Against Humanity is a hot game right now.

550,000 monthly searches on google. With low competition

Here's an eBay seller that has sold 100 of them in the last 11 days.
http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBidsLogin&item=251554352567&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2564

You can get 100 decks from the chinaman for about 1100-1200 dollars including shipping [shipping is expensive as fukk on these things, if they weren't so damn expensive I probably would have done this by now, it's cutting into the margins by 50% damn near]. But that puts them at about 11 to 12 dollars per box. As you can see they're being sold for 27 per on that sellers eBay. You can sell them on eBay, Amazon if your lazy or you can get a little savvy with it. Start a cards against humanitties video [IG video, vine, etc] reactions site, you should rank pretty high on google and with 550,000 monthly searches you're going to have alot of viewers. Buy facebook, google, and youtube ads to promote the site. Then sell the decks through there.

I might have to put this in spoilers for the lurkers.

:ohhh: This might be worth it. There's going to be a lot of strides made in the internet video, internet tv industry in the upcoming years. As long as GoPro keeps expanding their product line they should go nowhere but up. They just started trying to do the whole player cams with football. IF that really starts taking off, then that's be huge for them.

Does the article go into detail about the marketing strategy...I think when you have a unique product its hard to get an actual audience...when you have something that actually has an audience, it is hard to find a profit margin.

Yeah it did. Im pretty sure he just used facebook ads. Some ppl love facebook ads and some ppl hate them. It really all depends on the products and your niche.

You already got a connect so thats perfect. My cousins a mechanic/body work guy so that takes care of any issues. And its funny but the cars I sold the most are Ford Taurus's. Really basic cars but are easy to fix because of the american parts. I stay away from any foreign shyt. Most of the time I buy one, clean it inside and out, throw so shiny hub caps on it and shine it down, put it on the street and have it sold in a few days. $700-$800 investment and make at least $2000.

As for the auctions it depends on the city. Luckily im in ATL which has a major dealers auction that opens to the public a couple times a month. I dont go to many small auctions because the bidders are usually normal people who drive the prices up because they dont know what the hell they are doin...

And yes sellin in my girls, sisters, cousins, and friends names is the loophole :lolbron:
