Man, I remember when nikkaz had him as the top QB in the league back in 2010....I was called a goon cuz I disagreed.
He's not average, though. He's above average....but like you said, you can't be considered great or even good without consistency.
Only reason you don't think he's average is because he's Mick Vick and he's such a playmaker. If you talking about his passing output and passing output only over the course of his career he's average and when you consider the ATL aka the majority of his career that might be pushing it. Think about the QB's you consider average in terms of throwing. Now give them 4.3 speed and
agility and athleticism on top of that average passing ability.
Vick would be better than them?
at nikkas putting him top 5 or top 10. nikkas are so caught up in that video game start to last season that they are totally ignoring what's happened since (28 td 20 in 60 or so % completion) or before. He's shown flashes but consistency is what makes a guy good/great. He's average until he proves otherwise.

He has not played at that level consistently. The only thing consistent about him has been inconsistently. We can't just throw ATL out, that still makes up the majority of his career. We can't just focus in on the first half of one season and ignore the other 90% of his career.
He has his shortcomings and being gunshy is certainly not one of them. He makes bad decisions, period. The nikka has like 20 picks in his last 18 games, that ain't gun shy that is just poor choices.
I don't get all the stats you're tossing out as if they tell the whole story. Vick can make every throw. He's an above average passer...had an average year last season while being banged up running for his life.
