Drop out of middle school if need be. Thats when i started getting fukked up grades.
school isn't for everyone. They spoon feed you the information. Didn't work for me so it probably won't work for my kid. I'd rather let him drop out and get real life experience doing something he wants to do. He can get his GED and go to college later in life if he decides he wants to advance his studies.
:stopitslime:My kids are going to be paying for your kids way of life. At least push them to finish high school

Doesn't happen to most achievers. Most are very family oriented . Something else probably happened between him a his parents you arent aware of

Possibly. His parents were doctors, his sisters were on their way but he just wanted to play ball. I'm pretty sure there's more to the story I don't know about tho.

i would tell him that public schools are programmed by the government and theyre built to brain wash children and the bad grades werent his fault and its the fault of the educational system and the shytty teachers who don't give a fukk about the kids and that i would home school him from now on

That's harsh.

My neighbor was like that. His kids couldn't make a B. Got tore up if they did. They did well in school, graduated with honors and all, but resent their dad as adults.

Yeah, my pops was like that too. He wonders why I hardly speak to him anymore. :birdman:

Out of the 6 major classes, I got 3 As, 2 Bs,and 1 C/D (usually Spanish). My pops hated me for that because most of my Spanish teachers were dikkheads that were failing anyone that wasn't of Hispanic origin.

Be upfront on grades, but know that your kids can't be good with everything. If they are naturally good on at least 3 subjects, that is good enough. They can get B/Cs on the rest if they despise the subject/ their teacher on something that they ain't as interested in.

Exactly.

I mean really listen to what you're saying. You're saying dont expect TOOOO much out of your kids and dont expect to little either and allow them to play alot. Basically you're trying to set me to expect and accept mediocrity just so the kid can have a lot of fun becuase if i dont, they might not like me when they're adults. Alot more goes into a kid hating his parents then them expecting them to have good grades and its usually some insidious shyt. Shoot for the stars and if they hit the stratosphere :manny:

Of course they can be kids and bring home good grades. I can count on 1 finger the amount of times my daughter brought home a bad grade. It's just sometimes she needs a break from it. I don't want her feeling that she has to do school work every waking moment. I want her to play and have fun too. I want her to be able to go outside and find something to do with just dirt, rocks and twigs. She's gonna have enough stress down the road. School is very important to me but so is their childhood.

The kids wake up at 6 to be in school by 8
They don't get home until 5
I let them do whatever they want until 6
They do homework until 7
They eat and then get ready for bed at 8

That only gives them 1 hour a day for themselves
That shyt ain't really fair

That shyt will make kids flip out and commit school shootings with excessive amounts of homework on subjects that they don't like on top of teachers treating them less than human.

On top of that, kids with great grades can't even find a job graduating from college nowadays. Doing excess amounts of work that they hate makes them zombies and turns them to something that ain't human. :demonic:

Hell, the most violent thoughts were in my life is to attack any teacher that made my life into a living hell and trying to stop me from my future.

I expect the world from my kids. I don't see why my daughter couldn't be president if she wanted to. I would never accept mediocrity. I don't do shyt for them so they could like me. I just feel it benefits them to not have that constant stress on them. They're 7 and 5. If either 1 came home with a bad grade I'm not gonna punish them. They gonna already be feelin down. I'll probably take them to get ice cream and then go over the work and help them understand what went wrong.

The amount of homework they give kids these days is insane
After an hour, if they're done with it or not, I stop them

:usure: My kids will be more than well off. Not even having kids period unless i hit 100k a year. I'm stingy like that.

Real life experience > school.

If my kid doesn't perform academically i'm not gonna allow him to waste his time going to school. People in my family aren't slow. If he isn't performing right its because hes not putting in the effort. You can't make a kid put effort into something that he finds silly. I went through it and i woulda been better off if i had dropped out sooner.

I'll probably look into other alternative programs. But if he isn't passionate about any of them i'll let him choose his own route. Those 4 years of real life experience will put more money in his pocket then high school would and also give him a head start on his peers.

How can you expect the world for your kids but make them feel like its all good to not perform to elite standards in school? I dont know what you consider punishment but corrective action will be taken.

All that programming on knowledge that they can't even use in the outside world, all for a damn job that isn't guaranteed in the future. If they naturally like a subject, they can build from there. If they suck at one or two subjects, they should bump up the grades to a B/C and not lose their sanity or humanity over some damn paperwork.

Imagine when they found out all the years of fun and friendships that they never had because of schoolwork, they have the right to flip out for the sake of them being a human being.
